A revised geographical checklist of Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera (families Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae, Lycaenidae, Riodinidae and Hesperiidae) found in the Philippines together with their island distribution, endemicity and occurrence (as experienced by the authors) is given. It has been compiled based on over 55 years of experience of observing and collecting butterflies in the Philippines. Todate 927 species of butterflies have been identified as occurring in the Philippines of which 377 or 40.7 % are endemic.
