A comprehensive survey presents all known valid taxa of the family Clausiliidae occuring on the Peloponnese Peninsula and the surrounding islands. Photographs of the shell, habitat and living specimens in situ are included. Each taxon is accompanied by its original description, distribution range and some remarks concerning the delimitation to related species or subspecies. Differently addressed individual taxa within the current species concept of Gittenberger, H. Nordsieck and Welter-Schultes are discussed. Seven taxa (subspecies) within the species Albinaria arcadica, A. argynnis, A. haessleini and A. ithomensis are newly described. Another probably new taxon is pending and awaits more material for formal description. It is proposed that Albinaria scolicola leonidiae be considered a local variant of A. scolicola, and that A. subcompressa be raised to species rank.
