This book intends to provide a guide to identify European mollusc species. Europe in the sense of this book has its eastern limit in the middle of Turkey and the Moscow region. The Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands are not contained. Europe hosts about 2140 currently known species of non-marine molluscs (53 bivalves and almost 2090 gastropods) of which 1600 species are shown in this book with photos.
