Description of a new species of the genus Turriplicifer (Gastropoda: Costellariidae) from southern Australia, redescription of T. australis (Swainson, 1820) and a replacement name for T. vincentiana (Verco, 1896)
This is the ninth paper in a series describing the undescribed mitriform gastropod fauna of Western Australia. The following species are described as new: Turriplicifer deceptor n. sp.; and replacement name Turriplicifer josephvercoi n. nom. for Mitra vincentiana Verco, 1896, preoccupied by Mitra vincentiana Cossmann, 1881. Comparisons are made with Turriplicifer esperancensis (Marrow, 2013) and Turriplicifer australis (Swainson, 1820), herein redescribed.
