Danochrysa madseni and Stephenbrooksia multifurcata n. g., n. sp. (Chrysopidae) from the lower Tertiary of the Limfjord area (Denmark) are described. With respect to the nonfusion of RS + MA and MP1 and the possession of a cross-vein between RS + MA and MP1 in the hind wing, Stephenbrooksia multifurcata is more plesiomorphous than most of the Recent Chrysopidae. The structure is not visible in the type specimen of Danochrysa madseni, which appears to be, however, closely related to Stephenbrooksia. The two species are probably members of the stem-group of the Chrysopidae. New taxa: Danochrysa madseni n. gen., n. sp., Stephenbrooksia multifurcata n. gen., n. sp.
